![]() ![]() The first motorway is a valid placement since the mountain did not block its way (1) while the other motorway network does not allow you to build over mountains so the solution is placing the motorway endpoint near the start of the tunnel. Try to stack as many of these motorways as early as possible because these can help you in solving complex road connections later on. The game’s called Mini Motorways for a reason and taking advantage of this type of road network will help you create faster routes for your color group. Pay Attention To Motorways Stacking Motorways is the way! The road puzzle becomes complex if the building suddenly upgrades to a big business indicated by a circular building. ![]() Small business buildings denoted by a big square would usually need at least one or two houses to avoid the timer kicking in. In this map example, we see one small business building (big yellow square) and two big businesses (red circles) If ever you encounter these kinds of situations where the buildings don’t spawn in areas you don’t expect, then there’s no need to force it in your road network. Sometimes the way buildings spawn doesn’t come in your favor so you have to do your best in adjusting to the situation. In this scenario, you don’t need to connect it right away to its matching business building since there are two other blue houses accommodating that path.Īt your first playthroughs of Mini Motorways, you might think that you need to connect every house to its matching business building destination - well, not always. You Don’t Need To Connect Every Building You See Observe this blue house encircled is out of place because it’s in the way of the Fuschia structures. In this quick guide, we’ll show you some tips and tricks in Mini Motorways so that you can avoid the frequent headaches that you’ll face as you plow through traffic. The game’s over once one of the colored districts doesn’t reach their destinations on time. The longer you survive in the game, the harder things get as more buildings spawn. You match residential networks to reach their business destinations without causing congestion. This is a minimalistic city puzzle game where your objective is to build an efficient road system inside randomly generated buildings using real-life city maps. I hope that is somewhat reassuring for you! If you have any specific questions, I am more than happy to answer them.Mini Motorways has become one of the underrated puzzles in 2021 at par with Dorfromantik. All platforms will be kept at parity, so as PC and Switch versions launch, iOS will also get any new features/ content the new platforms do. We are bringing Motorways to PC early next year and would love to bring it to Switch too. As u/Snotty128 pointed out below, we still maintain Mini Metro and that is a 6 year old game! We just released a map for Metro a month ago. Safe to say, we are committed to years of support on Mini Motorways. General device performance improvements (more to come in future updates too) Made it much harder to accidentally pull open the 'home bar' on iOS/iPadOS Resolved nuke/ UFO bug (occurring due to a critical simulation system crash) Resolved the strange debug grid overlay bug Improved intersection and car behavior (addressing jams) The main fixes coming this week our tvOS/iOS/iPadOS patch are: We have commented on a number of posts in here the last few days to let people know what's coming, but I appreciate that hasn't been easy to spot as you browse, unless you delved into a particular thread! Perhaps a good idea would be for us to maintain an update thread on reddit/ our website? While the game has some issues, overall it’s a fantastic game which I’ll look forward to playing more and more. I’m a huge fan of logistics/city building games and for the past year whenever I didn’t have my laptop with Cities:Skylines ready I’d always turn to Mini Metro. Just like how offices can level up maybe houses can level up to apartments with many cars Other ideas: A Mini Metro/Motorways crossover where you can draw subway/bus lines to alleviate traffic Right now they just speed by them and clip through other cars Especially when you compare it against a motorway which can also go over water. As it is traffic lights slow down interchanges more than they speed them up
